My Story - My Why

My journey into holistic living didn’t begin as a philosophy—it began as a necessity.

In my twenties, I underwent surgery for an ovarian cyst, which led to a diagnosis of endometriosis and another surgery less than a year later. Despite these challenges, I was blessed to bring two children into the world, an experience that strengthened both my body and my resolve.

As I entered my forties, my health shifted again. I became estrogen dominant—something I believe was triggered by prescription medications that disrupted my intestinal flora and created a cascade of new health challenges. The increased estrogen load caused my endometriosis to become aggressive and unmanageable, leaving me with no option but a hysterectomy in my fifties.

I believed that surgery would finally bring relief. Instead, it marked the beginning of another chapter—three more surgeries within 24 months due to severe adhesions and scarring. What followed were twelve years of chronic pain that affected every part of my life.

Hope arrived when I discovered visceral massage therapy and osteopathic bodywork. Over three years, these therapies helped release deeply bound fascia and scar tissue that had been causing persistent pain. Healing didn’t come overnight, but it came steadily—and it changed everything.

Today, I am deeply committed to living as naturally and intentionally as possible. I continually research and choose all-natural health, hygiene, and wellness products, believing that what we put on and into our bodies truly matters. My family eats primarily home-cooked meals, avoiding the dyes and preservatives so common in today’s overly processed foods.

Creativity and connection ground me. I find joy in crafting, sewing, gardening, canning, baking, photography, and travel—activities that keep me rooted, curious, and inspired.

My story is one of resilience, learning, and listening to the body. It’s shaped my belief that true wellness comes from honoring both modern knowledge and time-tested, natural practices—and from never giving up on the possibility of healing.
